This was the best choir in my whole life. The reason why I wanted to join choir was because this is my last year of being in choir. I really enjoined it and really appreciate you Mrs keys for helping us learning the words very well.

My Buddy: Name: Romania Gender: Boy Age: 10 Country: Birthday: 1.09.201.5 Hobby: Rugby, Swim. Personality: Sporty, Smart, Nice. Born: 2005. My country is hot or cold it can be rainy or sunny but most times it has been wonderful and sunny it has lot’s of food around you when you go for a walk. It is a very peaceful place when you want to read a book there you can always sit where you want to you could do all sorts of stuffs like play, read, and also you could learn about other cultures. Romania is a boy. He is a very nice child that loves to play and swim. He would love to learn about some other cultures. He would like to help others if they are stuck. His birthday is on the 1.09.2005. 2 sisters. 21, 15. 1 brother. 12. 1 mum. 30. 1 dad. 32. Me. 9-10 My sisters are sometimes mean to me. Even though they would try to be mean to me I will still love them no matter what they do to me. I would never hate them because they are my lovely sisters. My brother is so kind to me. Everything I do to him he will always forgive me. He has never threaten me since I have been growing up. He loves me and I love him he would help me with everything I need help with. My mother has never been so unkind to me. She would only be unkind and not helpful when I never do the right thing and make her angry. She would always forgive me when I do something wrong to her because I will say sorry to her and never do it again. My father will always love me. Anything that I do wrong my father will help me and teach me what is the right thing to do. My favourite hobby is Drumming. I would always want to drum if I listen to the beat of some music. I would never give up on drumming, even though I can’t drum I would still persevere. My favourite sport is basketball I have been learning how to play basketball since I was 7. So I have got better and better at basketball. I could pass anyone that would want to verse me. But even though I can say that I can beat anyone it doesn’t mean that I can beat anyone in Basketball. My school life: In my school I always have been loving writing reading but the only thing that I have mostly enjoyed is maths. Because I have learnt last year all of my mistakes I have been doing maths and I have learnt from my mistakes. It was about decimals. I will never quite maths because I have learnt how to put fractions into decimals and how to turn decimals into fractions. In my school we like to play a lot of games like Basketball, Rugby and also Soccer. But in my thoughts of dreams I would want to be a basketball player like Michael Jordan. While I am at school of course I love art I follow instructions and do the right thing by listening to the instructions. Arriving in New Zealand: Dad, Me, Brother. Although I have a small family I would like to take only the boys to New Zealand because we could take a moment off from the girls. My brothers and Dad are so excited that I only chose them to come to New Zealand because there are 6 people in my family, and if I take only the boys the girls can have a nice time at home while we are at New Zealand. Wow I screamed with excitement. We are here in New Zealand, wow there is fresh house instead of living in a messy apartment we can stay outside for freshness when we need it. As we landed we felt so sick so we went as quick as we can in the taxi to go home and have some rest. Then we got better and better until that time when my father had a day off from work so we were going into some place where there are butterflies and big long green grass. luckily we brought a blanket to put down on the grass then we had a feed suddenly we found out that my mother rang on my father's phone but it was in the car. We were so excited that our mother has rang so we can talk to her but mostly my father. So now we are getting used to this country. Wow we are going school tomorrow as I screamed with excitement. I just can’t wait for school because I love Maths. Maths is my favourite subject in school when we do algebra I can do some of it and try my best even though I don’t get the answers right I could still cope with it and still try and persevere. Neighbours: This afternoon I met some neighbours they were nice and helpful when we first met them we felt like we were welcomed here because they have been showing us our house we thank them for their wonderful opportunity to welcome us in and every time my father is not here my neighbours will let me in their house with my brothers because my father sometimes go work and he might finish at 11:00 pm. . My new house. As I stepped out of the taxi I saw a magnificent house write at my eyes and suddenly it was my house. I screamed with excitement when I Approached to my house and when I ran up the stairs and went to look at the rooms I chose a perfect one for me first then that At night that is the time for dinner but it is not that late for dinner we have our dinner at about 8:00 pm every time we will remember not to watch tv and not to sleep in the lounge because it will be messy and we won’t have any time to clean it up. As I go sleep with my brothers in my room I could suddenly hear stormy rains. I tried to cope with the stormy rains but suddenly I have got scared that I went to my father and I told him what has happened and what has frightened me that made me come to you. In romm 15 we have been learning more and more about buddy we have created clothes and changing them.

In room 15 we learnt in reading about christ church's earthquake they have put big pictures to represent christ church after their earthquake. I want to make sure that when May Road School have an earthquake I would want to paint different cultral flags to represent people that have been here at May Road School.

First world war Mascots

Real lived animals can be mascots.

Mascots represent something like a group or a team.

Some other animals went to war but didn’t go there to work.

Some people think that mascots brings you good luck.

Soldiers bought small donkeys as a mascot.

Some soldiers were overseas and they had mascots.

What I have learnt about Matariki stars.

What I Have Now Learnt About The Seven Matariki Stars

1. I now know that the Matariki stars are eyes of God.
2. Matariki stars are the brightest and biggest stars that you could ever see.
3. I think that there are more than seven Matariki stars.
4. For many Maori’s they  held the start of a new year.
5. Matariki rises at early june or late may.
6. In the 21st century observing Matariki has become popular again.

Maths learnt this year with Recognition

Cardboard boxes.

One morning Mrs Mellick came in with humongous boxes A-Z  after she had named the boxes she put it in order of alphabetical. Then we had to have a good guess of which one is the smallest to biggest boxes. Then we had groups of 3. My group had to solve out what is the Length, Width and the Depth.  I have learnt that estimating is a little bit fun. I have known that when we do estimating some people go for the one that looks like the biggest.

We have learnt to find the volume in which box is the biggest. A volume is the amount of spaces you have inside the boxes and you could find out how you could find which is the biggest.

Once upon a time there was a girl named Rapunzel.

Every day she grows her hair 45cm per hour, before she dies.

At home she has 6 floors. Each of those floors has 4 packets of treats inside it.

How many packet of treats are there?

Jack & The Beanstalk.

I finished my work but it was a retelling story when I was supposed to write another point of view from the giant.

Jack & the Beanstalk:

I am the giant and I live up high in the beanstalk with my lovely wife. There was a little boy called Jack. He wanted to sell his cow. There was a man that had  5 bean seeds. The man said “If you grow them in the morning you will be able to climb the beanstalk”. There is a giant that lives there on top of the Beanstalk  with his wife. You would be able to see them, but be careful they’re huge and enormous.

So Jack climbed up the beanstalk and went inside and he saw the giant’s wife. The giant’s wife gave Jack some food and when her husband came in the kitchen, she shoved Jack into the oven. So the giant’s wife told the giant I brought you some cookies for your breakfast so the giant ate it.

Then came out Jack and went into the room and found some gold. He went in and looked at it for a while then he went and got some of the gold. He went back home to his mother and said mother I’ve found some gold from the giants room. Then he went back and he heard some humongous  footsteps. He went inside the oven and the giant’s wife said to the giant “I’ve brought you some milk and some biscuits”. Then he went and munched it up then went out Jack and hid inside the room.He heard some more big footsteps then he hid in the cupboard and the giant said “FE Fi Fo Thumb  I smell the blood of an englishman”. Then Jack was going to jump out of the oven. Suddenly the giant's wife said “wait here until the giants starts to snore”. He always snore after his breakfast. Then Jack went inside the room again and he saw lots and lots of bags full of gold. So he grabbed one of the bag’s and ran back down to the beanstalk to go back to his mum and said “mum mum I’ve got a big bag full of gold from the giants room. While Jack was explaining the giant was coming down with his lovely wife as well. Jack went and grabbed a knife to cut the beanstalk half way so that they can’t come down at us.

And they lived happily ever after.

Sleeping Beauty Narrative Writing.

Once upon a time there lived a king and a queen in a castle  and they had a beautiful baby girl named Sleeping Beauty. The king was so happy because he became a father, that he invited relatives, friends and 12 bright fairies. Though he had 13 he didn’t invite the 13th fairy because she was spiteful and cruel.

All the fairies made their wishes. Suddenly when the 11th fairy finished with her wish the 13th fairy appeared and she said “When the princess is 15 years old she will prick her finger on the spinning wheel and she will die.” But the 12th fairy said “No she won’t she will just fall asleep for 100 years.”

After a long time it was her 15th birthday. Everyone from the palace was invited including the 12 fairies but the 13th fairy wasn’t invited because she was very CRUEL!!  The 13th fairy came by and came with the spinning wheel and pricked Sleeping Beautie’s finger.It was not only her that went to sleep for 100 years, it was her whole family. Before she went to sleep she yelled out loud HELP!! so the prince came and kissed her so that she can come back alive and her family.

And they lived happily ever after.

This story is about a king, Queen, Prince, 13 fairies and also the new baby Cinderella.
